Isabelle clenched her teeth—wretched human?

From the opposite wing strode a burly, shirtless kobold—blue-tinged, one-eyed, and muscled like a tank.

“Welcome to the Citadel: Ubli the Stealer! He’ll steal your hearts, your wallets, and he slept with my wife before they put him away!” the announcer crowed. The crowd erupted.

Ubli the Stealer sounded revolting—and looked worse.

[Combat mode activated]

The whistle blew.

[Fight for your life]

Ubli drew two hook swords in a blur. Isabelle hadn’t expected that. The audience cheered as he charged. She needed to act fast.
